Happy Thursday!  It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood…

We’re giving our Jersey friends some more love this week and presenting you with a closer look into a small town with a big foodie reputation.  Haddon Township, NJ is located just a mile from downtown Collingswood and over the past few years, lots of great bars and restaurants keep popping up on their main street, Haddon Avenue.   Next Sunday is a great time to check this gem of a town out!  They’re tapping into Philly Beer Week with their own Haddon Township Craft Beer Festival.

Keg & Kitchen, Treno, Taproom & Grill, P.J. Whelihan’s, Pour House, Brewer’s Towne Tavern, The Irish Mile and Tom Fischer’s Tavern will spotlight a particular craft beer and host its brewer or distributor from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM with drink specials, tastings and conversation.

A free shuttle service will run continuously between all of the pubs and the Westmont PATCO station. Pub Fest t-shirts are on sale now at the eight participating establishments for $10. Wear one on June 1st for special deals, door prizes and other perks.

For more information on the event or for a closer look into the participating restaurants, visit their website.

Some of our favorites?  Make sure you don’t miss out on:

Keg & Kitchen

Serving up craft food and craft beer, Keg & Kitchen is the latest addition to the Haddon Twp bar lineup.  They offer lots of great deals for happy hour and the food is delicious.  Come in for a beer and one of their flat breads and you’ll leave a happy camper.  They’re having a “Challenge Your Brain” Philly Beer Challenge on June 8th at 12:30pm.  They’ll have 30 teams with 2 per team and a blind tasting of 12 craft beers.  Signup deadline is May 31st!

The Irish Mile

It’s simple.  They have 62 beers on tap, pizza, wings, and roast pork.  If you’re looking for a relaxed and casual night out, this local hangout is a great place to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.   The bartenders are friendly and their daily happy hours are great!

Pour House

This “Better Beer Bar” is a great place to host party events.  They offer a variety of burgers, a raw bar, great appetizers, and a large list of beers on tap and bottle.  The atmosphere is very casual and at night, plenty of live bands will keep you entertained.
