Philadelphia’s excellent craft brew scene is more prominent now than ever. The City of Brotherly love LOVES their beer and many bars now have extensive draft lists accompanied by bottle lists that gives any thirsty adult an option. What makes Philadelphia so great is the number of outdoor drinking options the city has. We’ve definitely embraced the outdoor drinking scene. Visit Philly Beer Garden Series
Last Friday, June 6th, the Visit Philly Beer Garden Series kicked off at Morgan’s Pier. This all-summer-long event is a new weekly happy hour series visiting rotating beer garden throughout the city every Friday. These pop up happy hours run from 4pm-7pm and include specials on food and local craft beer as well as fun games led by the Visit Philly team.
Click here for more information regarding participating vendors and upcoming dates.
Who’s ready to kick off their weekend at the second event?? The series continues tonight, rain or shine, in Fishtown at Frankford Hall
From 4 to 7 p.m., score $4 pints of Frankford’s new house beer, Frankford Hall’s Hopster Heff, and $4 pints of Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love Ale.
Brewed by Allentown-based Fegley’s Brew Works exclusively for Frankford Hall, Frankford Hall’s Hopster Heff made its first appearance during Philly Beer Week, and Frankford will be pouring the hoppy Hefeweizen for only $4 just for happy hour.
All of Frankford’s other draft beers will be on happy hour, too, with half litres for $5 and litres for $10 and more.
Beyond these special brews, snack on $3 sausages and $2 Bavarian pretzels.
Plus, for all of those World Cup fans, look to the big television near the bar at Frankford for the 4 p.m. match between Spain and the Netherlands.
ATTENTION: the first 50 people to stop by the Visit Philly table and show us a shared post on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook tagged #visitphilly and #phillybeer score a free Uwishunu beer boot! It’s that easy.
See you there!! Frankford Hall, 1210 Frankford Avenue
