Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest
A new-and-improved Blue Cross RiverRink is set to open just in time for Memorial Day! Along with their outdoor roller rink, this warm-weather haunt will also feature a nine-hole mini-golf course and urban beach lounge.

Memorial Day Weekend at the National Constitution Center
In celebration of Memorial Day, the National Constitution Center will be presenting a variety of special programming in addition to their permanent and temporary exhibits. These include participating in flag ceremonies, learning to fold giant flags, writing thank you letters to veterans, and much more.
When: May 28-30, 2016

Cost: General admission prices apply on Saturday and Sunday, but admission is free on Monday, May 30

Memorial Day Service at Laurel Hill Cemetery
This cemetery was the site of the first Memorial Day observation in Philadelphia, taking place in 1868. This year, to honor its past, the cemetery invites guests to gather around General George Gordon Meade’s burial site for a service that honors all fallen veterans with wreath-laying, speeches, and more.
When: Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM
Where: Laurel Hill Cemetery, 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
Cost: Admission is free, but a $5 donation is suggested and highly appreciated to help aid the preservation of the cemetery

Franklin Flea at Reading Terminal Market
This annual market is setting up shop this summer at Reading Terminal. Head over to browse vintage and handmade items from dozens of vendors. Franklin Flea is known for their wide array of furniture, handcrafted jewelry, vintage items, and more.

NCAA Lacrosse Championships at Lincoln Financial Field
College lacrosse’s most talented athletes will take up their game on the Eagle’s home field this weekend for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships.  Head on over to cheer these men on in the semifinals and championships during this fun-filled time.

Independence After Hours
Travel back to 1776 with your tour guide after a 3-course meal at the historic City Tavern. Following dinner, head on over to Independence Hall for an after-hours tour.

Twilight in the Gardens
Enjoy the Magic Gardens by moonlight on Friday, and stay for the music by two graduates of the Curtis Institute of Music, crafts, and after-hour tours of the museum. Note that this event is also BYOB!

Philly POPS Memorial Day Salute
The Philly POPS will perform this years first major Memorial Day concert at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts!

Memorial Day Weekend on Independence National Historic Park

Independence National Historic Park will be honoring the nation’s veterans throughout the weekend with special history lessons, tours, and more in addition to famous historic attractions, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the President’s House.
When: May 28-30, 2016, from 3:00 – 4:00 PM
Where: Meet at the Signer’s Garden, corner of 5th and Chestnut Streets

Yoga on Race Street Pier

BYOM (bring your own mat) and come out for free hour-long yoga sessions at Race Street to kick off all of the Memorial Day activities and barbecues that you’ll be heading to later. Namaste.
