Old City Fall Festival
This Sunday, October 11th from noon to 6 p.m Old City will transform from quiet cobblestone thoroughfares into alfresco eating-and-entertainment meccas for Old City Fest!
During that time a four-plus block area, Arch Street between 2nd and 4th streets and 3rd Street between Race and Market streets, will be closed to showcase local designers, creative firms, restaurants, retailers, galleries and theaters, as well as the neighborhood’s culture, history and architecture!
Festivalgoers will be able to enjoy live music and performances, a design showcase room, pop-up theatrical performances, plus a wide array of food, beverages and retail shopping.
This free street festival runs in conjunction with DesignPhiladelphia’s 10th anniversary year, and serves as a marquee event of the art-focused citywide series.
You Don’t Want To Miss..
100+ food and shopping vendors
Look for more than 100 vendors in all, with more than 40 galleries, design houses, artisans and independent retailers to be on hand throughout the festival to show and sell goods and services.
Live Music, Pop-Up Performances and Family Fun Zone
Of course, entertainment reigns in Old City, too. Don’t miss seeing the live entertainment running on the hour from 1 until 6 p.m. on the mainstage and on the street with performances from the likes of the West Philadelphia Orchestra, Polkadelphia, Opera on Tap and more.
DesignPhiladelphia Showcase and Runway Show
Beyond the festival vendors and entertainment, Old City Fest also includes the Design Showcase at The Center for Art in Wood (141 N. 3rd Street), a finely curated space by Marguerite Rodgers Interior Design, a firm whose portfolio includes the interiors of such stunning public spaces as Volver, High Street on Market, The Rittenhouse Hotel and more.
