Sixth Annual Philly Spring Cleaning is Open for Registration

It’s that time of year again for spring cleaning! This year, why not only help yourselves, but help others as well. Mayor Nutter’s Sixth Annual Philly Spring Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, from 9am to 2pm.

The previous years have been great successes. The 2008 effort was the largest one-day cleanup in American History. At last year’s event, more than 12 thousand volunteers helped over 348 project sites, and over 48,000 service hours were clocked. More than 1 MILLION pounds of trash was removed and over 40,000 pounds of recycling.

Cleanup stations are located all throughout the city and volunteers are needed all over Philly.

So Keep Up The Sweep Up and help rid Philadelphia of litter! For more information and to register by neighborhood, click here.
