Summer is in Full Swing

One of the best parts about living in the city of Philadelphia is that we’re closely located to some of the best South Jersey shore towns! Thinking about taking a day trip or planning a weekend getaway this summer? Read on to learn about three of our favorite nearby beaches and why we love them.

If you’re looking to purchase a vacation home or rent down the shore this year, please contact our team. We have members licensed in both PA & NJ, meaning that we can help you with your next real estate venture from suburban Pennsylvania, to the city of Philadelphia, and all the way to the beach.

Stone Harbor

Located on the southern tip of Seven Mile Island, Stone Harbor is the perfect destination for a true escape. When it comes to real estate, you can expect to see not only beautifully maintained beaches, but large stately Cape Cod and Craftsman homes. On coveted 96th Street, you’ll find The Walk at Harbor Square and many wonderful boutiques featuring locally made jewelry, clothing, and home decor. Most notably on 96th Street is the Harbor Square Theater– a movie theater with a full service bar and burger restaurant called Harbor Burger inside.

Avalon

With its very own slogan, “Cooler by a Mile,” Avalon is the northernmost beach town on its island, located roughly one mile further out to sea than its neighboring barrier island. The lush sand dunes and charming streets will make you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. Both locals and summer residents keep the upbeat culture alive, frequenting spots like The Windrift Restaurant, which also happens to be our team’s favorite spots to take in scenic ocean views. Furthermore, Cafe Loren is another great spot for enjoying a gourmet meal and dessert.

Ocean City

Ocean City has over eight miles of oceanfront beaches, influencing its reputation as “America’s Greatest Family Resort.” Historically, this Cape May County city has been a dry town since its establishment, providing a family-friendly atmosphere.

Famously known for its iconic 2.5 mile boardwalk, residents enjoy this coveted destination all summer long. It is lined with restaurants, shops, bars, amusement parks and other attractions, including mini golf. Moreover, you’ll find excellent shops and lovely eateries nestled throughout the entire island. Many weekly, monthly, and summer renters visit this town.

Next month, we’ll be sharing our Q2 market report, so stay tuned to learn about what the market has been like over this past quarter along the South Jersey shore and the Greater Philadelphia region.
