
This weekend is all about Mom, and Philadelphia certainly did not forget that. With numerous brunch specials and events going on to celebrate, it was hard to narrow it down to the top five. Treat your Mom on her special day, and let her know just how much she means to you.
1. Mother’s Day Brunch at Franklin Square
When: Sunday, May 8th from 11 AM – 1 PM
Where: Franklin Square at 6th and Race Streets
Great for all ages, this Mother’s Day brunch offers delicious eats from Cooperage, mini-golf, carousel rides, and a craft-making station for Mom.
Cost: $25 a person
2. Mother’s Day Weekend at Longwood Gardens
When: May 7-8th from 9 AM – 8 PM
Where: Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA
Looking to escape the city for Mother’s Day? Celebrate at Longwood Gardens! The festivities include blooming trees and flowers on the 86 acre garden, live music, and dining at the 1906 restaurant.
Cost: $20 for 18+, $10 for students aged 5-18 (or any age with valid student ID), and free for kids up to 4 years old
3. 26th Annual Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure
When: Sunday, May 8th starting at 7 AM
Where: Eakins Oval/Philadelphia Museum of Art
Sign up to walk, run, or simply go to cheer on your favorite athlete! This moving event inspires hope, supports cancer research, and provides a healthy way to celebrate Mom’s everywhere. Follow the race up with a well deserved brunch (see number 5 for a list of the best spots).
Cost: $37 for 13+ and $17 for kids 12 and under
4. Art Star Craft Bazaar
When: May 7-8th 11 AM – 6 PM
Where: The Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing
This 13th annual art sale features the best work from craft artisans down at Penn’s Landing. Make a day of it with Mom and let her pick out a perfect one-of-a-kind gift. Take her early because the first 150 guests of the day receive free tote bags with Art Starbucks and more!
