It’s always fun to watch the seasons change in Philadelphia! There’s nothing more exciting than hearing the birds chirp, seeing the sun shine, and watching flowers bloom as we head into some of the warmest months of the year. This Summer, there are many exciting events happening around our city. Read on to discover an events guide, curated just for you, and let us know which events you are planning to attend.

Phillies Games

We love supporting our Philadelphia sports teams! This Summer, stop by Citizens Bank Park to cheer on the Phillies. Click here to view their schedule and find a home game to attend with friends and family.

Not only are the games entertaining and perfect for enjoying with a group, but this ballpark has also been rated one of the best in the country. Traditional ballpark fare is available for purchase, as well as many other food and drink options. For those with dietary restrictions, you can also find a variety of healthier and gluten-free offerings.

Philadelphia Flower Show

Presented by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, this flower show is the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event. You’ll have a chance to take a look at stunning displays premiered by world-renowned florists and landscapers, while also having an educational look at the world of gardening. This annual event attracts many visitors across the entire Greater Philadelphia region.

This year’s show, “In Full Bloom”, will return to FDR Park for the second year, occurring outdoors from Saturday, June 11 through Sunday, June 19. Click here for a sneak peek of all of the exhibits, as well as food and dining options. Purchase your tickets here.

Science After Hours: Summer Ball

In honor of  LGBTQ+ Pride month, The Franklin Institute is presenting a special night of programming that takes a look at what makes us happy and proud. There will be dancing, science, and revelry spread out across the museum for you to explore. Tickets include access to the limited edition lapel pin created just for the event, a roof deck with incredible city views, and food and drink catered by Seravezza Events. Also, there will be cash bars throughout the museum. The event is taking place on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. Click here for more details or to purchase tickets in advance.

Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest

Serving as the ultimate Summer spot, Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront’s favorite traditions featuring outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all with wonderful views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Open 7 days a week through September 25, if you’re in the mood for entertainment, carnival fare, and fun, this is the perfect place to go. Click here for more details.

Spruce Street Harbor Park

Since 2014, this renowned waterfront park is seasonal and open to the public through Fall. Ranked as one of the best urban beaches by Jetsetter, visitors are able to sit back and relax on picturesque hammocks, while enjoying views of the Delaware River. There are Philly-inspired eats and craft brews available in the beer garden and the waterfront boardwalk. Click here for more details.
